Gender Equality

The legal mandate to achieve equal opportunities for men and women, and to eliminate existing disadvantages and structural gender differences, guides the actions of the University of Oldenburg in all areas. Gender equality is a cross-cutting issue. The departmental responsibility of one of the vice presidents illustrates the accountability of the university's leadership. The University's gender equality officer plays an important role in fulfilling the university's mandate to promote gender equality.
