The dual bachelor's degree Gender Studies deals with questions of gender constructions in society. Students who are considering writing a doctoral thesis can contact the doctoral advisory service of the Student Counselling Service (ZSKB).

Lecturers who want to make their seminars more inclusive can contact the Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Unit on gender-sensitive and diversity-conscious learning and teaching. They offer counselling as well as trainings.

One of the cross-university research themes, Diversity and Participation, is anchored within the guiding theme of Society and Education. Relevant research centres include the Centre for Interdisciplinary Women's and Gender Studies (ZFG) and the Center for Migration, Education and Cultural Studies (CMC).

One of the aims of the university's transfer programme is to support founders in the development of business ideas. Start-up support also includes a programme for women: With exist Women, ten female founders can be supported ideally and financially in 2026. This is intended to counteract the underrepresentation of women in the start-up sector.
