New working paper on alley-cropping agroforestry systems
Alley-cropping agroforestry systems, as a special form of modern agroforestry, are considered to be highly relevant in terms of alternative land use systems due to their large number of provisioning and regulating ecosystem services. However, the provision of cultural ecosystem services by these land use systems has been little researched. The research objective of this thesis is to determine the cultural ecosystem services of alley-cropping agroforestry systems in order to be able to make an initial assessment of these systems in terms of social sustainability.
