The kick-off event Wissen.schaf(f)t.Transfer took place in Papenburg on 26 April 2013. The University of Oldenburg and the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, together with representatives from politics, administration, business and associations, gave the starting signal for the project "Wissen.schaf(f)t.Transfer - Gemeinsam stark in der Region". Leena Karrasch gave a keynote speech on the topic of "Sustainable Society".
