Location
The Theology (the) and Religious Studies (rel) holdings are located on the 3rd floor of the Central Library. The literature and media resources on theology deal mainly with Protestant and ecumenical content, with special emphasis on theory of religious education. The literature on religious studies reflects the dialogue among the religions, and Jewish Studies, for example, is an ongoing project at the University.

Access to the BibleWorks 9 database
BibleWorks 9 is a CD database provided online by the University Library Centre of North Rhine-Westphalia (hbz).
There are two ways to access the database:
- You open the database as a Java application in your browser.

Prerequisite: A current version of Java must be installed on your system.
We recommend using the Firefox or Internet Explorer browsers to run the Java application. The Chrome browser no longer supports the execution of Java applications since version 45.
Important: If a pop-up window opens with the text "Do you want to run this application?", tick the box "I want to run this application ..." and click on "Run". - Download the database and open it with the Citrix Online Plugin.

Prerequisite: The Citrix Online Plugin software must be installed on your PC. If this is not installed on your PC, you must download and install it first: Download the Citrix Online-Plugin (Version 12.3)
Important: First save the database on your PC (e.g. on the desktop) and then start it by double-clicking on it. It should then be opened in the Citrix online plug-in.
