Dissertation project

Title: Text coherence and cohesion in written productions of learners of German as a foreign language

Abstract : The dissertation deals with the development of writing competence in the area of text coherence and cohesion in advanced learners of German as a foreign language. The central aim of the dissertation project is to investigate how learners create coherence in their texts and to what extent their writing competence develops in relation to their general GeR language level. The aim is to develop a practical concept for assessing writing competence in the classroom.
