Institute of Chemistry
The Institute of Chemistry at the University of Oldenburg contributes to the university's research focus "Nano and Energy Research" with its expertise in the field of "Chemical Bond Activation" and "Electrochemistry and Interfaces". The Institute investigates fundamental principles of energy storage in inert compounds at the molecular level, develops the design of new resource- and energy-efficient chemical processes and researches the construction of new complex modular functional materials for a future energy economy: research at the Institute of Chemistry.
A sound education in the subject of chemistry and the teaching of interdisciplinary and personal skills that enable graduates of chemistry degree programmes to enter the world of work and professional life with confidence are the main goals that the Institute pursues in the area of study and teaching.
