The Institute of Chemistry is awarding the Angelus Sala Prize to pupils in the North-West region who have achieved outstanding academic results in the subject of chemistry. Teachers can nominate their pupils until 10 May 2026. 

On 8 February 2016, a chemistry workshop for scholarship holders of the Hans Riegel Foundation took place at the Institute of Chemistry. A total of 26 students and STEM enthusiasts who had been awarded a scholarship took part.

Pupils from Papenburg Grammar School and their teacher Sandra Langer visited the Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg on February, 10th as part of their seminar-course „Exciting Show Experiments in Chemistry and Physics”.
