Chemistry Learning Lab

Chemistry Learning Lab

The Chemistry Learning Lab is an extracurricular offer of the Chemistry Department and is aimed in particular at students of the Chemistry degree courses and the Chemistry Department.

  • The Chemistry Learning Lab provides new students with support in mastering the modules in their first semester:
At mutually agreed times, subject-related and organizational questions are discussed with tutors (= students from higher semesters). You will receive support here during the semester with the teaching and practical content of the chemistry modules che105, che155 and che115 and with exam preparation. You will also be offered introductory seminars on the use of the two software programs Origin and ChemDraw. Bachelor's students are also supported in completing the physics module/internship.
  • Further extracurricular offers are also aimed at students in the higher semesters: introduction to literature research and literature management, information events on the possibilities of studying chemistry abroad, basics of good scientific practice, etc.

The "Chemistry Learning Lab" takes place in the Studi-Lounge of the Institute of Chemistry (room W03 1-153 on the ring level). Here you will find a place to study, work and exchange ideas together. In addition to the workstations, there is also a SmartBoard and some teaching/learning materials available. Feel free to drop by!

Here you can find the Stud.IP page of the Chemistry Learning Center: Chemistry Learning Lab (in German only)
