Up-to-date databases containing relevant information on the placing on the market and handling of hazardous substances.
GESTIS substance database
The GESTIS substance database contains information for the safe handling of chemical substances in the workplace (database: approx. 7,000 substances), such as the effects of the substances on humans, the necessary protective measures and the measures to be taken in the event of danger (German and English language versions). The substance name, CAS number, EC number, UN number or ZVG number is required for input.

Hazardous substance database of the federal states (GDL)
The GDL is a research system that collects and provides information on substances. The aim of GDL-public is to inform citizens who have no prior knowledge of chemistry about hazardous or environmentally relevant substances, to inform them about the dangers of handling hazardous substances and to explain safety measures.
