Thesis topics
If you are interested in writing your bachelor's or master's thesis in the field of international economic relations, please suggest a topic that you find interesting and feasible and send me a short exposé (maximum two pages) to . The topic of the thesis must be related to the research and teaching activities of the chair and may have a theoretical or empirical focus. We mainly work on issues related to foreign trade and multinational companies. In addition, we may also supervise theses on other sub-areas of international Economics. The synopsis should motivate and clearly state the research question, identify at least one specific point of reference in the existing literature, and contain an initial idea of the methodology (if applicable, details of the model you intend to build on or the data and empirical strategy you intend to use) and possible findings of the thesis. The synopsis may, of course, be preliminary, and we can then find a topic for you on this basis. As a rule, it is strongly recommended that you have successfully completed at least one course in international Economics before writing your thesis in this field.
