Habilitation and rehabilitation
Habilitation
Anyone wishing to habilitate in a subject in School IV must submit a habilitation application to the Dean of School IV and submit it to the Faculty Office with the following documents:
- Habilitation thesis in digital form and 4 additional printed copies
- Curriculum vitae with a description of the academic and academic appointment
- Certified copy of the doctoral certificate
- List of academic work
- List of courses, including teaching evaluations for at least the last 5 years, if available
- Affidavit of independent performance without unauthorised external assistance
- Declaration that the regulations on the principles of good academic practice have been observed
- Declaration on previous proposals for admission to habilitation and, if applicable, the result
- Extended certificate of good conduct according to §30a para. 1 no. 2a BZRG (if required, the faculty office will provide a letter for the issuing authority)
- Description of the venia legendi with specialisation for which the habilitation is sought
- Proposal for a reviewer according to §8 para. 1 HabilO
Rehabilitation
Anyone who has habilitated at another academic university can apply for re-habilitation at the University of Oldenburg. The procedure for re-habilitation is regulated in §17 of the habilitation regulations and is analogous to the habilitation procedure, i.e. the same documents must be submitted as for a proposal for habilitation and in addition to this:
- Copy of the habilitation certificate
- Copies of the expert reports from the original habilitation procedure or
alternatively: Declaration of consent to obtain the expert reports from the
previous home university
