Co-operations
Co-operations
The department maintains close contacts with both school-based and non-school-based partners.
As part of the practical school-based training, there are co-operations with colleagues from the teaching profession who contribute their expertise from their own teaching to the design of the seminars, thereby reinforcing the commitment to a consistent integration of theory and practice.
Furthermore, since 2024, there has been collaboration with the teacher training colleges in the Weser-Ems region, in particular the Oldenburg Teacher Training College for secondary school teaching. During the Master’s programme, students have the opportunity to establish contact with seminar leaders and trainee teachers from the current intake and to reflect together on the challenges involved in planning, delivering and evaluating lessons. Furthermore, students can take advantage of a programme offered by the IGS Kreyenbrück to gain practical insight into the subject of social studies.
As part of the historical and cultural education programme, there are ad hoc co-operations with museums, archives and other institutions in the city of Oldenburg and neighbouring regions (such as the Oldenburg City Museum and the Castle Museum in Jever).
