On 13 June, the 35th Kontaktpunktwirtschaft, the meeting point for executives from Oldenburg companies and institutions, took place on the Innovation Campus. The theme of the event evening was "Innovation as a driver for growth and the economy".

Alongside keynote speaker Dr Thomas Schulmeyer (Managing Director of Innovationszentrum Niedersachsen GmbH), Lord Mayor Jürgen Krogmann welcomed the participants. Professor Dr Ralph Bruder (President of the University of Oldenburg) then introduced the university, in particular the Department for Research and Technology Transfer and the C3L - Centre for Lifelong Learning. The evening was hosted by Ralph Wilken (Head of Economic Development, City of Oldenburg). Using best practice examples, Dr Schulmeyer used his presentation "Innovation as a driver of growth and value creation in Lower Saxony" to demonstrate the importance of innovation for companies and the support available from Innovationszentrum Niedersachsen GmbH.
There were also guided tours of the Innovation Campus, where numerous company representatives were able to get an idea of what is on offer.
