Lena Dörmann M.Sc.

Lena Dörmann studied Nursing Science (B. Sc.) at the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück and Community and Family Health Care, Health Services Research and Planning (M. Sc.) at the University of Bremen. During her studies, she worked as a student research assistant in the International Nursing Program at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen. After completing her Master's degree, she worked as a research associate in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen, focusing on simulation-based teaching.
Since January 2025, she has been a research associate in the Department of Ethics in Medicine at the University of Oldenburg. Her research interests include ethical questions in the context of quality of life, self-determination and autonomy, particularly in the context of the debate on assisted dying and methods of qualitative social research. As part of the project "The Future of Intergenerational Solidarity beyond the Pandemic: Empirically-Informed Ethical Analysis and Public Deliberation" (FuturISE), she is responsible for the qualitative data collection and analysis.
