ICBM PhDs: Connected
PhDs: Connected - colloquia for doctoral candidates
The idea of ICBM-PhDs: Connected is to provide a platform for doctoral candidates to present their doctoral projects and to talk and discuss organisational topics in small break-out groups.
All ICBM doctoral candidates are invited to present their current work and the ongoing research of their working groups. PhD students can use these meetings to practice a presentation for a conference or thesis defence, discuss methods or get feedback on their work.
ICBM PhDs: Connected is customised to current topics and needs of PhD students. New doctoral candidates are introduced and integrated here. In addition, doctoral candidates have the opportunity to talk to ICBM PhD representatives. PhD representatives offer small break-out groups to talk about organisational matters or concerns of doctoral candidates. They can also get in contact with doctoral candidate Ferdinand Esser (PhD programme coordinator) in a break-out group or meet other doctoral candidates from neighbouring partner institutions (HIFMB; ZMT, AWI, HZG).
IPC - ICBM PhD colloquium
Doctoral candidates discuss their own work, network and get to know each other in the form of short presentations. This takes place across locations between the ICBM in Oldenburg and the external location ICBM Wilhelmshaven. The colloquium offers a framework in which young scientists at the beginning of their academic appointments can exchange information about their work and experiences and make new contacts within their field of research.this IPC (international PhD Colloquium) has been replaced by the ICBM PhD Day.
