• According to the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (NHG §7(5) sentence 1), students may only be required to attend courses if this is necessary in order to achieve the objective of a course.
• The Master's examination regulations(MPO general part §9 (6) and MPO Annex Muwi supplement to §9(6) sentence 1) regulate the courses in which active participation can be required.
• Accordingly, attendance may not be required or checked for lectures.
• Students may not be disadvantaged in the module examination if they are absent from the lecture.
• Active participation may be required for courses that are designated as VL/Ü or VL/Se if this is provided for in the examination regulations and specified in the module handbook.
