Experience everyday university life ‘first-hand’, get a taste of seminars and find out all about studying – school pupils, A-level students and other interested parties will have this opportunity on Friday 6 June, from 9.00 am, at the University of Oldenburg. That’s when the University Information Day (HIT), organised by the Central Student Advisory Service, will take place under the slogan “Oldenburg University is the HIT!”.
More than 3,000 interested visitors from across the region are expected to attend. Visitors can attend presentations on the approximately 40 bachelor’s degree programmes, take part in library tours and other special events. Discussion sessions with students offer an insight into everyday student life. The Central Student Advisory Service and other university service centres will provide information on entry requirements, studying without Abitur, study abroad, studying with a disability and funding your studies. Anyone looking for a one-to-one chat can find comprehensive information on all aspects of university life at the information stands in the foyer of Lecture Theatre Centre A14 on Uhlhornsweg.
There will also be opportunities for relaxation and entertainment: the student percussion group ‘Schlagwerk Ossietzky’ will be performing in the Audimax. Afterwards, campus clips will show how students capture their university on film. For journeys between the Haarentor campus and the Wechloy campus, bus route 306 can be used free of charge with a ticket from the programme booklet. The programme is available online.
