Recently, we had the pleasure of attending the 12th Brazilian-German Workshop on Applied Surface Science in Oberstdorf, Germany.

The workshop has brought together leading scientists in the field of surface and materials science from both Brazil and Germany since 30 years. This year, the workshop was hosted by Prof. Katharina Al-Shamery in Oberstdorf, Germany, facilitating many productive and inspiring conversations.

The PhD and master students from our group contributed with poster presentations, sharing their latest work and engaging in lively discussions with colleagues from both countries. In addition, Lars Mohrhusen gave an invited talk, highlighting recent progress within Su2nCat-CO2.

We thank the organizers for a memorable and inspiring meeting, in particular Prof. Al-Shamery and Abner de Siervo.
