Oldenburg Yearbook for Philosophy
Oldenburg Yearbook for Philosophy
The Oldenburg Yearbook of Philosophy was founded in 2007 by Myriam Gerhard and has been published by BIS-Verlag in Oldenburg ever since. It originally brought together selected contributions from the Philosophical Colloquium, in which external and internal professors and early career researchers could present their research and graduates of the Institute could present their theses. The aim is to provide a forum for teachers, researchers, students and interested parties from outside the institute to find out about and discuss current developments and issues in philosophy.
In addition to Myriam Gerhard, the yearbook has been edited in changing constellations by Christine Zunke, Ingo Elbe and Philip Hogh. Since the 2017/2018 edition, it has brought together works from the colloquium as well as other contributions that reflect life at the institute, including inaugural lectures and graduation speeches, for example. The texts collected in the yearbook are intended to provide a broader insight into life at the Institute and the diverse discussions that take place here. Accordingly, the topics of the yearbook touch on the most diverse areas of contemporary philosophy. Despite all the thematic differences, the contributors are committed to a shared philosophical dialogue, which they hope to further promote through the yearbook.
The 2021/2022 edition is currently in progress.
