This practical course is part of the Physics module for the subject Bachelor of Chemistry (Phy920) and extends over two semesters. It is aimed at students from the 1st semester onwards. Part I is completed in the winter semester, part II in the summer semester.
The basics of experimentation are taught in this practical course. Students can deepen and test their theoretical knowledge from the parallel lectures and the textbook in their own experiments. Their manual skills in handling modern measuring equipment and working skilfully with measuring instructions are trained. By carrying out the experiments together in small subgroups of two students each, the ability to work in a team is also promoted. Finally, the recording of scientific experiments and the appropriate presentation of measurement results are trained.
The successful completion and recording of all experiments is a prerequisite for the written exam at the end of the lecture period, which includes both the practical course material and the lecture.
