In addition to introductions to the essential contents of the first three books of the German Civil Code (BGB), the book contains numerous cases with solutions to the general part and the special part of the law of obligations. In addition to imparting legal knowledge, the book also aims to teach the technique of legal casework to students who are not studying Law. For this reason, the work is preceded by a special chapter on learning how to work on legal cases.
