This book by Hans-Ulrich Heyer follows a new concept: firstly, it offers a didactically successful introduction to insolvency law with all its sub-areas of standard and consumer insolvency as well as residual debt discharge proceedings. In addition, it summarises and comments on the most important decisions on numerous individual problems in a comprehensive and up-to-date overview. In this way, the work is both a valuable aid for all those who want to familiarise themselves with the subject matter of insolvency law and a reference work for those who are looking for specific answers to specific questions. The presentation of the subject matter of insolvency law is based on the actual course of insolvency proceedings. It is supplemented by numerous graphics and diagrams for better understanding. The author was a consultant for insolvency and enforcement law at the Federal Ministry of Justice and is now project leader for the Eureka insolvency programme development for the states of Bremen, Hesse, Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. He is also a judge at Oldenburg Local Court and a lecturer in insolvency and enforcement law at the University of Oldenburg.
