The Core Facility currently offers access to the "MacsQuant Tyto" cell sorter from Miltenyi as a service.
MacsQuant Tyto
The MacsQuant Tyto is a microchip-based 2-way cell sorter. The sorting process takes place sterile in a special cartridge under low pressure (< 3 PSI) and is therefore particularly gentle on the cells. This even enables sequential sorting processes with an above-average cell survival rate.
The Tyto is equipped with 3 lasers (405, 488 and 638 nm) and 8 fluorescence channels.
