Akhila Bairy

Akhila Bairy is currently pursuing her PhD in Computer Science at the University of Oldenburg. She graduated in 2019 with an M.Sc. degree in Information Technology from University of Stuttgart, Germany. She has completed her B.E. in Telecommunications Engineering from Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, India.

Currently, she is working as a Scientific Researcher in the M2 project of the SEAS Research Training Group at the university. Her research topic is "Modelling Explanations in Autonomous Vehicles". Her research focuses on generation of in- or semi-formal explanations that humans comprehend and they are provided at the optimal moment, thereby minimising the cognitive workload on individuals.
