At the University of Oldenburg, you can study to become a teacher for five different types of school (primary schools, secondary modern schools, grammar schools, special needs education and vocational schools/business education) and in 28 subjects. A special feature of the teacher training programme in Oldenburg are the teaching and learning labs, which are offered for 10 subjects and in which student teachers work with groups of pupils outside of school at an early stage. At the Teacher Training Taster Day, interested students can spend a day getting to know the University of Oldenburg and the teacher training programme, talk to other students and get an impression of everyday student life and campus life.
The programme, which is tailored to teacher training, offers participants the opportunity to get a taste of regular lectures and seminars. This is framed by an introductory lecture on the teacher training programme at the University of Oldenburg, a tour of the campus and a panel discussion with students. Insights into teaching and learning labs are also possible on the day
