Tailor-made counselling - The University of Oldenburg and the Studierendenwerk Oldenburg offer you a comprehensive network of personal counselling services.
Group counselling
Student counsellors provide information on relevant topics in small groups. You can clarify your questions and also benefit from the questions of others.
University Information Day
Compact information - the University of Oldenburg presents itself and its study programmes.
UniTalk
Student counselling and departmental representatives provide information on various topics and answer your questions in detail.
Taster programme
You attend one-off courses from the regular teaching programme and gain a first impression of everyday study life.
Taster day for individuals
On this day, you will attend selected courses from the regular teaching programme. This is framed by a campus tour, an introductory lecture on studying at the University of Oldenburg and a discussion round with students.
Orientation semester (Studium generale)
You attend a course regularly for an entire semester.
Voluntary services at the University of Oldenburg
You can also complete your voluntary service at the University of Oldenburg: whether in the Voluntary Scientific Year (FWJ ), the Voluntary Social Year in Sport (FSJ), the Federal Voluntary Service (BFD) in the Botanical Garden or the Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ).

The Institute's wide range of offers will give you an insight into the degree programmes and teaching of the Chemistry Department as well as the opportunity to explore the exciting world of chemistry yourself through hands-on workshops, student laboratories, information events, laboratory tours and much more. The programmes are aimed at both individual interested pupils and school groups.
Chemistry and biology of the sea: internships
Pupils can complete internships in various areas at the Oldenburg and Wilhelmshaven sites.
Humanities
At Villa GeistReich, senior school students can attend a series of workshops on philosophical, historical, theological and social science issues.

Pupils from secondary schools gain an insight into the Wadden Sea ecosystem under the guidance of biology teaching students.

Youth Future Day
Career orientation for girls and boys in grades 5 to 10. You will gain an insight into various academic appointments at a university and explore "gender-atypical" professions, i.e. those that you may not have considered before.
KinderCampus
Discover, try out, join in, marvel and play - all this is possible at the University of Oldenburg's KinderCampus for pupils aged between eight and twelve and their families.
Group offers
Biology: Green School (grades 1-10)
In the "Green School" in the Botanical Garden, you will get to know native and tropical plants as well as insects, birds and vertebrates.
Chemistry: Chemol - Chemistry in Oldenburg (grades 2-6)
In a real chemistry laboratory, you will learn about scientific phenomena and issues and carry out experiments.
Physics: Teaching and learning laboratory physiXS / phymobil OL (grades 1-10)
Primary and lower secondary school pupils are guided through experiments by future physics teachers.
