Counselling services
Tailored counselling – The University of Oldenburg and the Studierendenwerk Oldenburg offer you an extensive range of personalised counselling services.
Group counselling
Study counsellors provide information on relevant topics in small groups. You can get answers to your questions and also benefit from the questions asked by others.
University Information Day
Information at a glance – the University of Oldenburg introduces itself and its range of degree programmes.
UniTalk
Study counselling and subject representatives provide information on various topics and answer your questions in detail.
Taster Course
You’ll attend a one-off session from the regular timetable and get a first impression of everyday student life.
Taster Day for Individuals
On the day, you’ll attend selected lectures from the regular curriculum. This will be complemented by a campus tour, an introductory talk on studying at the University of Oldenburg and a discussion session with students.
Orientation semester (Studium generale)
You will attend a course regularly throughout an entire semester.
Voluntary service at the University of Oldenburg
You can also undertake your voluntary service at the University of Oldenburg: whether as part of the Voluntary Academic Year (FWJ), the Voluntary Social Year in Sport (FSJ), the Federal Voluntary Service (BFD) at the Botanical Garden, or the Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ).

Institute of Chemistry
Get to know the Institute of Chemistry. Through the institute’s wide range of activities, you’ll gain an insight into the degree programmes and teaching at the Department of Chemistry, as well as the chance to explore the exciting world of chemistry for yourself through hands-on workshops, school labs, information sessions, lab tours and much more. These activities are aimed at both individual interested pupils and school groups.
Marine Chemistry and Biology: Internships
School pupils can undertake internships in various fields at the Oldenburg and Wilhelmshaven sites.
Humanities
At Villa GeistReich, sixth-form students can attend a series of workshops on philosophical, historical, theological and social science topics.

In the "Green School" in the Botanical Garden, you can learn more about native and tropical plants as well as insects, birds and vertebrates.
Institute of Chemistry
Get to know the Institute of Chemistry. The Institute's wide range of offers will give you an insight into the degree programmes and teaching of the Chemistry Department as well as the opportunity to explore the exciting world of chemistry yourself through hands-on workshops, student laboratories, information events, laboratory tours and much more. The programmes are aimed at both individual interested pupils and school groups.
Chemistry and biology of the sea: Wadden Sea learning laboratory
Pupils from secondary schools gain an insight into the Wadden Sea ecosystem under the guidance of biology teaching students.

Lecturers in mathematics report on current mathematical problems and research questions.

Youth Future Day
Career orientation for girls and boys in grades 5 to 10. You will gain an insight into various academic appointments at a university and explore "gender-atypical" professions, i.e. those that you may not have considered before.
KinderCampus
Discover, try out, join in, marvel and play - all this is possible at the University of Oldenburg's KinderCampus for pupils aged between eight and twelve and their families.

Biology: Green School (grades 1-10)

In a real chemistry laboratory, you will learn about scientific phenomena and issues and carry out experiments.
