This year, the Chemistry Student representatives, in collaboration with individual staff members at the institute under the direction of Dr. Carsten Dosche, prepared a Christmas lecture. In a cosy atmosphere the end of the year was celebrated in a space of togetherness in which students, professors, and institute staff could participate. This year, there also were some "dancing gummy bears," "burning soap bubbles," and a romantic "shower of gold" (you can find the full programme here -in German only-).

During the lecture, the Chemistry Student Association awarded the "Award for Best Teaching in Chemistry":

• The module che160: Chemistry of the Elements with Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Beckhaus and Prof. Dr. Thomas Müller was awarded as the best bachelor module.
• The module che450: Structural Analysis of Inorganic Compounds using Modern Methods with Prof. Dr. Thomas Müller, Dr. Lena Albers, and Dr. Alexander Weiz received the award for the best master module.
• Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Frank Rößner was honored as the most dedicated lecturer.
