You can only register for the German proficiency test for preparatory German courses at the link given in the admission letter sent to you by the Registrar’s Office.

Current preparatory German courses

Preparatory German courses (Prüfungskurse)

Courses take place from Monday to Friday during the semester (April–July/ October–February).
Levels B2 and C1

Prüfungskurs B1 – Preparation for studying

Scope: 12-13 weeks of 20 credit hours (45 minutes) per week (total 240 credit hours)

Level: B1 under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

Content: General topics and content, reading and listening comprehension, text production, speaking and grammar

Dates: The course is offered each semester from October to February and April to July respectively.

Prerequisite: Only for applicants (via uni-assist) to the University of Oldenburg with knowledge of the level B1

 

Prüfungskurs B2 – Preparation for studying

Scope: 12-13 weeks of 20 credit hours (45 minutes) per week (total 200h + 40h credit hours)
or during the semester break 8 weeks of 25 credit hours per week (total 200h)

Level: B2 under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

Content: General topics and content, reading and listening comprehension, text production, speaking and grammar

Dates: The course is offered each semester from October to February and April to July respectively.

Prerequisite: Only for applicants (via uni-assist) to the University of Oldenburg with proof of B1 language proficiency.

Prüfungskurs C1 – Preparation for studying and the DSH examination

Scope: 12-13 weeks of 20 credit hours (45 minutes) per week (total 240 credit hours)

Level: C1 under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

Content: General and study-related topics and content, reading and listening comprehension, text production, speaking and grammar

Dates: The course is offered each semester from October to February and April to July respectively.

Prerequisite: Only for applicants (via uni-assist) to the University of Oldenburg with proof of B2 language proficiency.

Deutsch PLUS - Language assistance

Deutsch PLUS offers Tutorials in addition to the preparatory German courses. They are offered by students of the University of Oldenburg in consultation with lecturers and offer an opportunity to repeat and deepen course material as well as to clarify individual questions and concerns.
