Process management

The aim of process management is to document and optimise processes and initiate and support organisational or cultural (workplace-related) changes.

As a result, the organisation constantly evolves in terms of its processes and the associated framework conditions. Process management is currently focussed on central administration. A number of processes are already shown in the administration portal. In principle, however, the service is also available to other departments.

What we can achieve with process management:

  • processes are clear and regulated, there are binding standards and responsibilities,
  • processes are transparent and comprehensible,
  • processes that are simplified are adapted to changing conditions and continually improved,
  • academics are relieved of administrative tasks thanks to clear and optimised processes,
  • organisational units work efficiently together,
  • institutional process knowledge is documented in a structured manner,
  • induction of new employees is made easier,
  • processes can be carried out with IT support.

Process analysis and process optimisation

We analyse processes with you in order to establish standards, increase transparency or improve processes based on this, for example.

Process management supports process managers in:

  • recording and depicting AS-IS processes,
  • introducing new processes,
  • developing TO-BE processes,
  • implementing TO-BE processes in everyday work, if needed.

We are currently working together, for example, on hiring salaried employees, requesting reimbursement of expenses and providing external event rooms.

Process quality management

The respective process owners regularly review the processes and business processes for which they are responsible. The process owners analyse with the process managers, process experts and users whether the process still meets the requirements, whether the processes and responsibilities are still correctly represented and whether there is a need for change.

As part of process quality management:

  • we coordinate the continuous improvement and review of work processes and workflows,
  • we help colleagues review and, if necessary, adjust their processes,
  • we produce annual reports for university management.
