Mentoring Programme
The mentoring programme of the Institute of Chemistry is a voluntary programme that runs alongside students' studies, in which professors act as personal mentors to a group of students by providing guidance, supervision, and advice.
During the individual meetings, students are encouraged to develop an understanding of university processes and the structure of the curriculum, as well as to strengthen motivation for studying successfully. Mentors offer guidance and support, sharing their own experiences and serving as confidential points of contact for their mentees. They provide particular assistance during the initial phase of studies and the transition from school to university, but remain available to their mentees throughout their entire academic journey.
Through this exchange, both mentors and mentees have the opportunity to learn from each other.
The mentoring programme is coordinated and organised by the Institute's administrative office. The contact person for the mentoring programme is Iva Bačić (iva.bacic@uol.de).
