At the university since: 2007
I am #UOL because...
... I am very lucky to be able to work here as a physicist. By collaborating with the various working groups, I get to see the latest developments and research results.
What I like about my work...
... my colleagues, the exchange with students, the fact that I can set up and demonstrate exciting experiments as part of my teaching, and the many positive re-registrations about my work, especially from students.
A special moment for me at university was...
... taking part in the children's university. Performing experiments in front of 800 children is quite different from doing them in front of 200 students. We once demonstrated how to travel in space, namely by hurling matter away. To illustrate this, Professor Andreas Engel sat on a chair with wheels with a fire extinguisher in his arms. When he used the fire extinguisher, he was propelled backwards. This caused great enthusiasm and lots of laughter.
