… Good Friday in the year of the coronavirus, 2020. It was 10 April, and at exactly 05:08, I received an email from my team informing me that the video conferencing programme BigBlueButton had been successfully integrated into our Stud.IP system. It was a real goosebumps moment: at the eleventh hour, we’d managed to pave the way for online teaching in the 2020 summer semester, which began on 14 April, the Tuesday after Easter. For the rapid establishment of the IT infrastructure to support digital teaching during the pandemic, the IT services were later awarded the President’s Medal of Honour.

... the captain of the university's research vessel "Sonne". It was my childhood dream to sail the world's oceans as a captain.
