Timeliness and urgency are often at odds with each other. However, we always endeavour to process orders as promptly as possible.

Orders are taken by our technical office (see contact). There you will receive further information about the processing of your specific order.
We require the following details so that we can process your order promptly:
Your contact details:
- Surname
- Telephone number
- Email address
- Room number
- Head of research group
- organisational unit
- Funding centre
- Cost centre
Please note that, unfortunately, we cannot accept any orders without this information.
Order-specific information regarding your order:
- Order specification / functional description
- Sketches or drawings, if applicable, DXF data (for cutting templates), dimensional and quality specifications
- Required quantity
Notes for customers who would like to provide their own 3D bending components
To enable us to process your orders as quickly as possible, we would ask you to send us or make available all files relating to the order.
The mechanical workshops use Autodesk Inventor 2024. If you provide files, they must be in this version or an earlier one.
The following general specifications should be taken into account during the design process:
- Minimum leg length: 10 mm
- Bending thicknesses for aluminium materials: 0.5 mm to 5 mm
- Bending thicknesses for stainless steels: 0.5 mm to 3 mm
- Bending thicknesses for structural steel: 0.5 mm to 3 mm
- Maximum bending length: 2000 mm
- For box-like bent components with 3 or 4 bent side panels the ratio of the base plate to the height of the folded side panels is crucial.

Notes for customers who would like to provide their own 2D/3D files
To enable us to process your orders as quickly as possible, we ask that you provide all files relating to the order.
The mechanical workshops use Autodesk Inventor 2024. If you are providing files, they must be in this version or an earlier one.
- If you use Inventor yourself, you must bring the following files for a personal consultation:
- .ipt files
- .iam files
- .idw files
- .dxf files (if applicable)
- If you work with Catia or other CAD programmes yourself, the following files must be provided:
- .ipt / .iam files (convert .igs / .step / .sat files beforehand)
- .dxf files (if applicable)
- New orders must always be discussed in person
- For more complex designs, we ask that you contact us before the start of the design phase to ensure ensure more effective planning
- As a general rule, drawings must be submitted in printed form in person
- Any files provided, in particular .idw files, or drawing extracts must be created in accordance with the relevant standards
