Digitalization in out-of-school Laboratories
Digitization in extracurricular learning spaces
Integration and concept of the digitalchemlab
In particular, there are opportunities here to enable an interesting and tailor-made design of the student lab day for students. In an initial research project, learners are to select various tasks with optional learning aids along a differentiation matrix and switch flexibly between classic school lab aspects such as experimenting in the lab and digital tasks. To this end, a digital learning module was designed and successfully piloted with students, teachers and pupils. In a main study, aspects such as motivation, learning gains and choice behavior will be examined. Subsequently, learning paths can be identified in order to obtain information on the use of the learning offer. In this way, design criteria for future learning modules can be derived and the offering can be further improved.
In addition, the digitalchemlab will be used to train students and (prospective) teachers in digital skills. It is also a place where new types of learning opportunities for didactic transfer research are created. In this way, modern research topics and in particular the special research projects CataLight and PolyTarget) are linked with the latest possibilities of digital media and synergies are generated.
