Welcome to the Chemistry Education Research Group in Oldenburg!
On the following webpages, you will find information about our staff and the research in chemistry education. We also dedicate a section to our courses and our student laboratories, ChemOL and ChemOL². Additionally, we present our materials, work results, and publications here.
Research Areas and Projects
Our research in chemistry education primarily focuses on the educational reconstruction of current research topics for schools and student laboratories, such as nanotechnology and green chemistry. We also focus on developing digital teaching and learning tools accompanied by teaching and learning formats for instruction, teaching, and research. A close connection to school practice is central to all our topics. Additionally, we engage in a structural analysis of teacher education.
The student laboratories ChemOL and ChemOL² provide students and school pupils with insights into current research areas in chemistry education.
