Set up network drive on Mac
To set up a network drive under MacOS, the following must be done:
1. click on "Go to" in the start bar -> "Connect to server..." or directly via the key combination "Apple+K"
2. now enter the desired address via "smb://"
The name of the file server is "daten.uni-oldenburg.de"
3. next enter the username (after "w2kroot\") and password, save the password in the keychain and click on "Connect".
If the network drive is to be connected automatically after the restart, the following must be done
1. call up "System settings" -> "Users & groups" -> "Login objects"
2. drag the network drive (which should now be on the desktop*) into the list.
* If the network drive is not visible on the desktop then:
Click on "Finder" in the status bar -> "Settings..."
-> switch to the "General" tab
-> Tick the box under "Show these objects on the desktop:" -> "Connected servers".
