In 2026, we are once again inviting all interested students in years 11 and 12 to take part in the
Dr Hans Riegel subject prize!

The subject prize competition is for outstanding subject papers in the STEM subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computing Science, which are written annually by pupils in the upper grades of schools in Lower Saxony.

As a university, we would like to offer these pupils the opportunity to have their work assessed by our scientists and to win prizes of between €200 and €600!
