Project C - Hearing aid

Project C - Hearing aid

Scaleable individual binaural hearing aid

More than 15% of the population has a hearing impairment requiring treatment. This impairment - which usually increases with age - can be (partially) compensated due to the use of hearing aids, but the hearing aid provision often occurs more than 10 years too late and is only partially successful.

The aim of this project is, therefore, to develop a personal binaural hearing aid which will allow for an early introduction into the support of communication for both normal-hearing people and also people with low to medium hearing impairment, by providing a high quality sound presentation system with additional functions (like noise suppression or adaptive directionality).
