Application procedure

- Find out about the Institute of History's partner universities and institutes at an early stage. Use the websites of the universities and institutes for this purpose. Think carefully about which host universities are suitable for you.

Complete the form and attach it as a pdf to your application documents! - Letter of motivation: Set out on one page the academic reasons for choosing your host university. Include one or two alternatives to your choice in the letter. This is important in case your first choice does not work out. Important: If you wish to attend courses in English at the host university, please write the letter in English!

- Application deadlines: 30 November if you wish to apply for the following academic year. 30 April if you wish to apply for remaining places for the summer semester.
- Selection process: Places are allocated on the basis of suitability and convincing reasons. You will be notified immediately after the allocation on 15 January or 1 June.
- A Learning Agreement must be concludedin good time before the start of the stay abroad. Please coordinate your course choice with me by email beforehand. More information here: uol.de/sport/studium-und-lehre/erasmus-internationales.
