Dr rer. nat. Nicola Brandt
"Medical Scientist Programme" With the "Medical Scientist Programme", UMO promotes the work of non-physician researchers in medicine. Dr Nicola Brandt has now been accepted into this programme. The biologist works in the Department of Anatomy at the University's Department for Human Medicine and will spend the next three years investigating the role of the substance lysophosphatidic acid in brain development. The funding from the programme will enable the scientist to advance this research together with a doctoral candidate.

"Hermine Heusler-Edenhuizen Prize.
With this award, the Faculty of Medicine is honouring a publication by the young scientist that was published in 2020 in the specialist journal "International Journal of Molecular Sciences". Gläser conducted her research in the Department of Anatomy under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Anja Bräuer.
