Impact monitoring of co-innovation processes between students and companies: Development and testing of measurement concepts and a target group-oriented software tool

Wi-Ko-nova is an innovation project to develop a new impact monitoring tool specifically designed for co-innovation processes between students and companies.

In times of major societal challenges, it is crucial to promote innovative and sustainability-oriented learning methods at universities. Challenge-based learning (CBL) enables students to develop practical solutions to real-world problems. Wi-Ko-nova creates a basis for making the effectiveness of such projects measurable and comprehensible.

The technical implementation is being carried out by project partner TolaData. TolaData is a Berlin-based company that offers a web-based software for monitoring and evaluation

The objective:

  • Development of a software tool to measure the impact of co-innovation projects
  • Promoting the transfer of sustainable innovation approaches between universities and practice partners
  • To support the project and impact management of universities in the implementation of modules with the innovative teaching/learning approach of challenge-based learning

The benefit:

  • Increase effectiveness: The monitoring tool supports a well-founded evaluation of learning and innovation effects
  • Promote sustainability: Co-innovation projects with a sustainability focus are made measurable
  • Accelerate knowledge transfer: Universities can access proven methods and concepts more quickly.
