SPSS Statistics
Please note: Version 30 of SPSS and AMOS can be used with access to the licence server until the end of October 2027. Please upgrade to version 31 or version 32 of SPSS or AMOS in good time.
SPSS is a statistics and analysis software programme from IBM.
The University of Oldenburg makes the SPSS statistical software available to members of the university community – primarily students, teaching staff and administrative staff – on the university’s own computers at various locations.
SPSS is installed in computer rooms A04 1-139, A02 2-215, A04 2-201, A03 4-402 and W01 0-008, where it can be used during opening hours. The software can also be installed locally on personal computers or workstation PCs. Please note the terms of use for the software, which you can view here.
An ISO image of the installation DVD, the latest patches and detailed installation instructions are available for download here for Windows and macOS. (Linux is no longer supported since version SPSS 28.)
Notes:
- Once installed locally, you will need to connect to the campus network or, via the internet, establish a VPN tunnel to the campus network in order to use SPSS (see: VPN access to the campus network from off-campus).
- Administrator rights are required for installation. If you do not have these, please contact your system administrator.
