Back-to-Back Beamtimes at the MatLine Beamline (ASTRID2, Aarhus)

Two consecutive beam times, three research projects: Our working group used the MatLine beamline at Aarhus University for high-resolution XPS investigations. The results provide important insights into the surface chemistry of TiN particles, pyrrole-TiO₂ interfaces, and the activation of greenhouse gases.

Our group has just completed two consecutive beamtimes at the MatLine beamline at Astrid2 located at Aarhus University, working across three of our ongoing projects.
Niko Kruse focused on high-resolution XPS of TiN particles.
Aaron R. von Seggern investigated pyrrole-titania surface interactions.
Justin Klimek examined how MoS₂ particles on TiO₂ interact with greenhouse gases.

Beyond those three,
Marc Kobbenbring, Fangliang Li and Lars Mohrhusen provided support in conducting the beamtimes. We extend our thanks to Jeppe V. Lauritsen's group, in particular Sergi Campos Jara, for supplying us with additional instruments and gasses, and to Zheshen Li, the MatLine beamline manager, for his continuous assistance throughout both beamtimes.

A productive visit and a great push forward for these projects.
