Due to the initiative for a double degree with French-speaking universities, which originated from the department, there are particularly close relationships with the University of Le Havre and the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Brest. There is research co-operation and regular exchange with Joensuu University (Finland) in the field of environmental law.
