About the IfÖB
The Institute for Economics Education - IfÖB - (since 1 January 2009 part of the Department of Economics and Law of School II) trains teachers for Economics Education in the general school system. Since the winter semester 2004/05, training has taken place in the internet-based Bachelor's/Master's degree programme "Economics Education". In addition to teaching, we carry out specialised didactic research into the development of Economics Education as general education in all types and levels of school.
IfÖB develops and evaluates teaching and learning arrangements for practical days and student companies at lower secondary schools and primary schools, careers guidance at grammar schools and consumer education (EU project DOLCETA). As part of research-based learning, students on the M.Ed. programme are introduced to the implementation of didactic, empirical teaching research in the field of Economics Education.

The results of research and development are also partly implemented in innovative public-private partnership projects by the IÖB, affiliated Institute of the CvO University - nationally and internationally!
