Katharina Bönsch has been a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the chair of Prof Dr Dr Volker Boehme-Neßler at the University of Oldenburg since December 2024. Her doctoral focus is the perception of justice and transitional justice.

During her studies, her focus was on courses in public international and international human rights law and supporting projects of Amnesty International, BORDA and against human trafficking. Ms Bönsch is also active in refugee work and teaches integration and professional language courses up to level C1.
