Exercises in commercial and corporate law

At the University of Oldenburg, a two-hour basic course on commercial and corporate law with exercises accompanying the lecture is held every summer semester. In this context, the book "Übungen zum Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht" has been published. This compilation of various case studies is intended to illustrate the systematic relationships between commercial and company law problems. A number of fundamental legal issues are dealt with and presented in the form of legal case work using relevant facts as examples. In order to demonstrate the methodology of the case work, the relevant problems are not only dealt with in short solution sketches, but also partly prepared and formulated for the exam. The script for the case work is primarily aimed at students on the basic course in commercial and company law, in whose exercises accompanying the lecture the legal problems and solutions to the cases are dealt with in more detail. Students on the advanced course (Commercial Law for Advanced Students) can also use the cases as a review of basic legal issues. The book does not claim to be a textbook or to be complete. Rather, the topics dealt with here are intended as a stimulus for self-study at home or in the library and for checking what has been learnt.
