The University of Oldenburg is offering a part-time Master's degree programme in Advanced Nursing Practice as of the winter semester 2024/25. The aim of the degree programme is to train nurses as advanced practice nurses and prepare them for a clinical-practical professional role. The focus is on the ability to make science-based actions and decisions in direct nursing interactions. The curriculum is orientated towards the skills that will be required in the future by academically trained nurses to ensure evidence-based care practice. Clinical expertise and the implementation of Advanced Practice Nursing roles in the respective care settings are at the centre of this. Teaching language is German.

Students should acquire the skills to

  • analyse highly complex problems
  • develop new evidence-based solution strategies and nursing concepts
  • work on research questions in an interdisciplinary context
  • offer effective nursing services according to the latest scientific findings and reflect on these critically
  • actively promote healthcare on the basis of professional knowledge and actively support digitalisation.
