After a two-year term of office of the Ethics Council of the German Association for Sport Science (dvs), a new election was due in accordance with the statutes, which was carried out online. Prof Dr Dirk Büsch, Prof Dr Ina Hunger (Göttingen) and Prof em. Dr Heinz Mechling (Cologne) were elected to the dvs Ethics Council.

"I congratulate the three elected members and wish them a successful term of office," said dvs President Ansgar Schwirtz.

The dvs Ethics Council consists of three people who are elected for two years (1 May 2024-30 April 2026). At the suggestion of the Ethics Council, a member of the "Young Scientists" committee will be admitted to the Ethics Council as a guest member. The Spokesperson's Council of the Commission has nominated Dr Till Koopmann.
