Sports suitability for the winter semester 2026/27
The following regulation applies to applications for the winter semester 2026/27 with regard to sports aptitude:
Athletic aptitude must be proven by the following:
A sports medical certificate based on the recommendations of the German Society for Sports Medicine and Prevention (DGSP), which was issued no more than six months ago at the time of enrolment in the subject of Sports Science.
Procedure
Procedure for submitting the sports medical certificate
Book an appointment with your general practitioner (also abroad if necessary) for an examination and to determine whether you are fully fit for sport. You do not need to see a sports physician. To help you with the examination, your doctor can follow the guidelines for preventive medical check-ups in sport(see Downloads).
Please use the "Sports medical certificate" form provided under Downloads. The examination must not have taken place more than six months previously at the time the form is submitted. Full fitness for sport must be confirmed on the form.
The sports medical certificate must be submitted to the Admissions office together with the enrolment documents during the enrolment period for the winter semester.
Is further proof required?
No further proof is required in addition to the sports medical certificate.
